Area of responsibility
Building cleaning and maintenance:
Cleaning of windows, floors, walls and ceilings.
Maintenance and inspection of building services systems such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
Performing minor repairs and troubleshooting.
Maintenance of outdoor facilities:
Maintenance of green spaces, trees and shrubs.
Snow removal and spreading of salt in winter.
Administrative tasks:
Planning and coordinating workflows within the team.
Monitoring of material stock and reordering as needed.
Dealing with customers on site.

Structure of the teaching
Duration:
The training lasts a total of 3 years.
Reflection and performance evaluation:
To reflect on the quality of their work, trainees must complete a work report booklet each month. A qualification report (Quali) is completed quarterly, and good performance qualifies for a percentage-based salary bonus for the following quarter.
Practical training:
Practical training takes place in a large company, a larger institution (e.g. school, home, hospital), a municipality or a provider of building maintenance services.
Inter-company courses (ÜK):
The inter-company courses take place at SFB Schaffhausen. Meals during the course are provided by the training company.
Vocational school:
The school lessons take place at the BBZ Schaffhausen and last one day per week.

This includes a first aid course, theory lessons, traffic awareness course, practical driving lessons, and the test (excluding skid control).
