Playground safety
A safe playground is not a matter of detail, but of responsibility. We inspect playground equipment, identify defects early, and support you in maintaining its value and reducing accident risks. This includes regular visual inspections, functional tests, and annual main inspections according to applicable standards, SN EN 1176/1177.
Why playground safety is important.
Playgrounds are in daily use and constantly exposed to the elements, including weather, moisture, UV radiation, wear and tear, and vandalism. Minor damage can quickly become a real safety hazard. Loose connections, damaged impact-absorbing surfaces, or rotten components must not be overlooked. Regular inspections and targeted maintenance can reduce risks, prevent costly consequential damage, and extend the lifespan of the playground equipment.

Typical defects and dangers on playgrounds
Various defects can develop on playgrounds over time, and these should be checked regularly. The following problems occur particularly frequently:
Loose or missing screws and fasteners
Damaged or worn chains, ropes and moving parts
Cracks or splintering in wooden components
Corrosion or material fatigue in metal parts
Dense or missing impact-absorbing surfaces under playground equipment
Damaged platforms, ladders or railings
Foreign objects such as glass, stones or trash in the play area
Early detection and professional maintenance can reduce hazards and significantly extend the lifespan of playground equipment.
