The German wasp is a widespread wasp species in Central Europe, closely resembling the common wasp. With its yellow and black body and the three characteristic black spots on its face, it is easily recognizable. Some specimens exhibit slight anomalies in the facial area, making the three spots less clearly visible. It builds its nests in crevices in the ground, cavities, or buildings and often seeks proximity to humans.
Their lifestyle, which is heavily reliant on human food sources and suitable nesting sites, often leads to conflicts.
