The Oriental cockroach is known as a stored-product pest that can also cause health problems in humans. It goes by many names, including common cockroach, kitchen cockroach, and baker's cockroach. The Oriental cockroach is strictly nocturnal and spends most of the day hiding. Despite an infestation, sightings are very rare; a large population could develop without anyone noticing.
