The housefly is one of the most common hygiene pests worldwide and is particularly prevalent near humans, livestock, and waste. It is a typical commensal species and prefers warm, humid, and organically polluted environments. Houseflies can transmit numerous pathogens through contact with waste, feces, and food. Their high reproduction rate and constant movement make them a serious hygiene problem, especially in kitchens, food processing plants, and stables.
