Characteristics
Flies are considered classic hygiene pests. They feed on waste, organic material, and feces, and can spread pathogens in the process. Houseflies, fruit flies, and blowflies are particularly common indoors, in restaurants, and in waste storage areas. They reproduce very quickly – a single fly can lay several hundred eggs at once.
Signs of an infestation
A fly infestation is usually clearly noticeable through bothersome insect activity and visual contact. Populations increase rapidly, especially in areas with garbage, near food, and in stagnant moisture.
Constant sighting of flies in the room, at the window or light sources.
Fly larvae (maggots) in waste or drains
Smear marks on walls, light switches or shelves
Breeding sources such as spoiled food or organic waste
Unpleasant odor development in cases of heavy infestation
