Spiders are generally harmless, but many people find them unpleasant or even frightening. In basements, garages, or outbuildings, their webs leave visible traces. Some species, like the cellar spider or the house spider, are very common in homes. Although they are not considered pests, they are often removed for aesthetic reasons.

Signs of an infestation

A spider infestation is usually recognizable by their webs:

Visible spider webs in corners, window frames or basements
Dead insects in the web as an indication of active spiders
Sighting of larger specimens in bathrooms, basements or laundry rooms
Spider molting in dark, quiet areas
Heavy dust accumulation or stagnant storage areas promote infestation.
